The Project Field Officer (FO) For the First-Health project, works as a Promoter and primarily responsible for facilitating the Care Group meetings for integrated interventions of the nutrition project: Maternal Child Health and Nutrition, WASH, SMTA and Early Childhood Development (ECD) to prevent stunting in the child’s first 1000 days of life. In addition, the FO actively present and models Samaritan Purse's vision, mission, core values, policies, and safeguarding policy through good relationships and networks with local leaders and community groups.

Contract type: Fixed/Specified Duration
Duration: 1 year (Renewable, subject to funding availability)
- Support the Senior Project Coordinator in conducting baseline and needs assessments, and identifying the gaps and opportunities for ECD interventions in the target communities.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Coordinator in developing and implementing work plans, budgets, and reports, in accordance with the project objectives, indicators, and timelines.
- Organize and facilitate trainings, workshops, and meetings for the Village Volunteers, caregivers, and parents, using participatory approaches.
- Train VVs every month on the topics following the lesson plans in the educational materials provided
- Model Christianity to all community members
- Present people with the Gospel and forms new small-cell groups
- Coordinates local-level activities and maintains cooperation with other community-level institutions, such as the commune chief, village chief, commune police, home churches, and small cell groups
- Facilitates Care Group (CG) meetings with her Village Volunteers (VVs) every two weeks following the lesson plans in the educational materials provided
- Attends training and reporting meetings provided by the Supervisor and the module training sessions to accurately replicate trainings given by the VVs, sharing correct information and demonstrating skills learned
- Models the health, nutrition, and sanitation behaviors she teaches CG in or outside her own homes
- Supervises each VVs at least quarterly by accompanying them on home visits and observing them leading group meetings
- Completes all weekly activities and meets targets Completes monthly reports based on VVs and Neighbor Women (NW) attendant list
- Distributes project materials, such as water filters, Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNS), iodized salt, and buckets, on schedule
- Ensures that motorbike is cleaned and well maintained
- Other assigned works as required by the supervisor

- Minimum one years’ experience in the maternal child health or community mobilization work.
- Literacy in MS Office, English language proficiency.
- Creative and flexible person who can work well under pressure
- Good in teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel for meetings, training, hosting team, field visits, and exposure visits. At less 80% of his/her time is at field
- Must be able to confidently ride a motorbike (this is a mandatory requirement of the job).
