The
Primary Classroom Mentor and Trainer oversees all traditional school
subjects, ensuring their quality in the ICF After School Program. These
tutoring subjects include Khmer and Math. The PCMT leads 19 interns in
classroom management and teaching methods, while continuously updating
his/her knowledge with the latest teaching techniques.

Responsibilities
Train and guide Interns for Classroom management and Lesson planning
- Facilitate Interns in making lesson plans for different subjects. (Khmer & Math)
- Teach Interns how to plan fun, interesting, and easy-to-understand lessons according to the kids' learning abilities.
- Model Interns how to use teaching materials effectively and how to improve their teaching skills.
- Teach Interns how to manage the class well and to handle behavior problems calmly.
- Create a Team atmosphere among the interns.
- Plan meetings to talk about teaching techniques, support in learning new things and get better at teaching
- Mentor and encourage Interns in daily challenges (private & work) and help them to create solutions for their problems
- Ensuring that every child receives quality education and support on the ICF Cambodia Campus
- Supervise Tutoring Classes and prepare teachings according to the needs of the Interns to improve the quality of the tutoring sessions
- Providing Feedback 1:1: Watch the Intern's teachings and give helpful advice
- Inspire Interns by role modeling a loving, caring, patient and kind teaching style
- Approach the students who are disruptive in Khmer and Math class individually, addressing the situation with confidence and understanding
- Connect difficult cases with ICF Family Care Team or ICF Counselling Team to support the student holistically
- Reach out to parents when their child is absent from after-school activities or is sick during study sessions, demonstrating concern for their child's well-being and education
- Engage in casual conversations with parents during drop-off and pick-up times to convey our commitment to their child's education and to emphasize its importance
- Establish a supportive relationship with parents through regular communication and personalized interactions, fostering a sense of partnership in their child's educational journey."
- Talk to parents and listen to their concerns
- Bachelor in Education o Certificate of Teacher Training or other equal training/ degrees
- Proficient in English language skills, including listening and speaking.
- Experience working with private schools is desirable. Ideally, the teacher has taught various subjects such as English, Math, and Science in English.
- At least experienced in creating lesson plans for Khmer and Math subjects.
- Skilled in using computer technology for educational purposes.
- Recognizes the significance of education and is deeply passionate about it.
- Committed to continuously improving teaching skills.
