Position: IT Support Technician (Agape International Missions (AIM))__Deadline:27-September

Agape International Missions (AIM) was founded on the ground in Cambodia in 1988 as a humanitarian aid and church planting organization. Since 2005, our ministries have focused on ending the evil of child sexual slavery.

AIM takes a holistic approach to fighting trafficking, restoring victims and transforming communities, in order to defeat trafficking. AIM is guided by a distinct philosophy that God anointed the Church through the power of Jesus Christ to overcome evil.

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, the IT Support Technician is to provide both in-person and remotely technical support to assist computer users with setup, maintenance, trouble shooting and problems they have with their computers.

Program director: Director of IT (US office).

Reports to: Director of IT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain policy and procedures that adhere to government regulations and AIM’s Mission, Vision, Values and Statement of Faith. 
  1. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software:
  2. Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.
  3. Be familiar with all hardware and software.
  4. Be familiar with network operating system.
  5. Provide recommendations about accessing information, support and training.
  6. Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources. 
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access: 
  1. Troubleshoot technology issues.
  2. Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
  3. Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources.
  4. Research current and potential resources and services.
  5. Provide network access credentials.
  6. Install workstations.
  7. Connect and setup hardware.
  8. Load all required software.
  9. Monitor security of all technology.
  10. Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.
  11. Ensure installation of lock out programs.
  12. Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.
  13. Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

  • Self-sufficiency to maintain spiritual, physical and emotional health while consistently working toward the vision of AIM as a whole and the department in particular.
Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: 1year experience working as an IT. Preferred.
Other Requirements:
  • Cambodian National ID Card.
  • No criminal record.
  • An active member of a local Christian church.
  • Pastor’s Reference.
Skills and Abilities: Specific and General skills and abilities required to meet the expectations of the position.
  • Fluent in Khmer: written and spoken.
  • A good command of English; written and spoken.
  • Experience doing desktop level support for Windows (7 and newer).
  • Familiarity with basic network concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus. 
  • Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Experience with UniFi is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of common business applications, such as spreadsheets and databases. 
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule of evenings and weekends when necessary. j. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational and religious backgrounds and ability to maintain composure under pressure. l. Google Apps Certified Individual (or equivalent experience).
