Job Responsibility
Business Leadership, Compliance and Development
- Work with the management in setting the strategic vision and cultivating stakeholder relationships at all levels to advance the business operation according to the school’s community vision, mission and values.
- Provide the school management with an operating budget and a strategic analysis in conjunction with the collaborative school management’s action plans to ensure the business success, while in full compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing all fiscal reporting activities, including revenue/expense balance sheets and budget planning and monitoring processes.
- Ensure that all accounting/risk policies and procedures are in accordance with international accounting standards and the country’s standards.
- Participate in developing and expanding the school business, specifically by assisting the management in identifying new funding opportunities that align with the strategic vision with prospective budgets and determination of their cost-effectiveness of the prospective service delivery.
Internal Control and Risk Management
- Develop and execute effective systems for internal controls and safeguardings of the school assets and financial practice.
- Regularly review and reflect on risk and risk-related transactional reports.
- Manage areas of potential risks of loss of assets, earning capacity or school succession.
- Manage and address the issues related to the capital structure, level of authorities, budgeting and financing to support the school management and effective day-to-day operation.
- Oversee cash flows, capital investment plan, revenue generation capacity and financial projections for decision makings.
- Recommend strategies to address any identified internal and external risks to the school operation teams.
- Assist the management in the development and negotiation of funding contracts when liquidity problems are anticipated.
Procurement & Stock Management
- Support the procurement team to develop and deliver effective procurement strategies, policy and procedures to deliver to target beneficiaries.
- Help to identify needs and potential market, suppliers, bidding and purchasing processes, cost-saving opportunities, while assisting the management team to identify and develop an effective procurement system for the school community.
- Supervise the stock management, including stock count, review and reports and assist the school management to take necessary actions, if required to help address any risks or irregularities.
Educational Leadership and Good Community Practices
- Serve as a good model of an educational leader who can work hand in hand in collaboration with the other leaders in: a) setting directions, b) building relationships and developing people, c) developing the organization to support desired practices, d) improving the school instructional program and e) securing accountability across the school community.
- Serve as an active member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team to foster a positive and collaborative school culture and learning environment for all members of the school community.
- Foster positive and enriching relationships with all members of the school community, potential investors, suppliers and financial institutions and business partners.
Job Requirements
- A degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent, preferably with a professional accountancy qualification.
- A degree in education or proven knowledge of educational leadership is desirable.
- Minimum 10-year experience in business leadership or similar management level.
- English communication skills, spoken & written
- High analytical skills with proven ability to establish a sound business/investment and financial management plan.
- Demonstrated leadership, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, coaching and counseling skills.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Experienced in conducting training, policy briefing and event organizing.
- Demonstrated professionalism and high-level personal integrity
- Ability to work with timelines, routines and an intercultural and diverse working environment.
