Position: Case Manager (SOS Children's Villages of Cambodia)__Deadline:20-September

SOS Children’s Villages Cambodia is the national chapter of SOS Children Villages which is an independent non-governmental organization currently operational in 135 countries worldwide including 14 countries in Asia Region. At SOS we are committed to the child care and protection through various alternate care and family strengthening programs to strengthen families and communities as a preventive measure in the fight against abandonment and social neglect of children without parental care or children at the risk of losing parental care. Department : Program Project

A Case Manager is a member of a project team. The Case Manager will assist the Village Director in the field of pedagogies, actively encourage in organizing educational program for children and mothers and be responsible for all case of children and youth assessment, admission, reunification and integration and all refunds to them for official work and they will require maintaining and rending proper account for the same.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct initial assessment, Re-assessment, Reunification, integration and follow up
  • Program Data Based (PDB2) focal person to ensure that all information is up to date
  • Assist mothers, Youth Leaders, children and youths in resolving their inter-personal, educational, health and other problems by provide guideline and counseling when required
  • Provide training and ongoing coaching to relevant external partners and services (i.e. DoSVY, CCWC, and RCIs), on family reintegration and gatekeeping processes
  • Coordinate with schools, hospital other agency and relevant government offices (i.e. DoSVY, CCWC), local authorities, towards successful process of family reintegration documentation for proper placement of each child and for education, career development plans and health care on a regular basis.
  • Diversify and organize a variety of children’s activities, games, sports, hobby and library facilities as well as outdoor visits for recreation and participation.
  • Maintain and follow up on personal records of each child on health, education, special interests and incident.
  • Initiate and develop new programs for benefit of all children and organize creative activities to promote talented potentials
  • Co-operate with SOS mothers and youth leaders on preparation of child development planning, priorities and tactical execution.
  • Ensure that SOS mothers and youth leaders receive support such as remedial, special needs and educational programs.
  • Provide direct psycho-social services and tailored individual support (case management), to children and youth separated from their families
  • Collaborate with corresponding CV SR teams, and/or external partners and services (i.e. schools, local authorities) for effective family assessment and reintegration, in response to the varied needs of cases/families
  • Update and support maintenance of case management files/systems, including required MoSVY documentation
  • Collect quality data and support maintenance and consolidation of relevant PDB2 and administrative systems for reporting purposes
  • Identify and support training of new Child safe Agents, strategically recruited to support family reintegration activities
  • Provide support to the Family Reintegration Coordinator for effective implementation of all family reintegration activities, as needed
  • Provide feedback on the strategic implementation of family reintegration activities including improvements to standard of practice and service implementation
Key Requirements: 
  • University Degree in education or related fields is required
  • Qualification in pedagogy, Teacher Training level is a plus
  • Communication and facilitation skills required
  • High commitment to the SOS Children's Village core Values, vision and mission
  • Experience working with children a must
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, and Khmer language and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and good writing skills
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience with NGO
  • Good facilitation, diligent, interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Strong motivation and ability to work and deliver under short deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, after hour
  • Displayssensitivity and adaptability to differentcultures,genders,religions,races, nationalities and age groups.
  • Flexible and able to embrace change positively.
  • High sense of confidentiality
