Teuk Saat 1001 is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner.
The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.
Today, through a network of 900 entrepreneurs, operating 300 stations, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, more than 850,000 beneficiaries, including 350,000 children.
Teuk Saat 1001 as the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Myanmar.
Directly report to: Finance Manager
- Supervise Accountants and maintain accurate accounting record (records assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information)
- Manage and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies (ex. Account Receivable, Account Payable…)
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting closing activities such as bank reconciliation, cash reconciliation and journal adjustment entries
- Review and recommend changes to chart of account and existing accounting procedures if needed, in accordance with the accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Supervise Stock Controller and maintain accurate stock management (inventory system
- up to date)
- Control on the operational monthly expenditures regarding the budget allocation
- Supervise external audit by keeping proper records and providing relevant documents to auditors
- Internal control with the finance manager to certify data accuracy (guidelines, process)
- Monitor the financial situation of the sites (AR/AP, Operational Finance Dashboard)
- Ensure on-time reporting to donors (Monthly calendar follow-up, qualitative monitoring of the status with each donor)
- Collaborate with cashiers and admin manager to ensure the smooth workflow of the Operations
- Prepare the monthly tax returns and collaborate with Admin manager for submission
- Any other task assigned by Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3-4 years of experience in related field. Experience with a full set of account is an advantage
- Past experience in NGO social business is an asset
- Good verbal and written communication skills (both Khmer & English)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of the Cambodian International Audit Standards and tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, QuickBooks Online is an advantage
- Knowledge of the water sector is an asset
- Rigorous and quality oriented
- Able to travel to province occasionally
