The Communication and Outreach Intern will be required to provide regular updates on project implementation progress against the workplan. In addition, the Communication and Outreach Intern will work with the Communications team to support the project team on their communications and media plan and collect and produce impact stories and story of change. He/she will support the team update the social media; digital marketing, designing IEC materials to keep public, donors, and relevant stakeholders informed about CI’s work and visibility. The communication and Outreach Interns does not supervise staff. Duties are performed under the Communications and Outreach Manager.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create engaging social media content, including graphics, Gifs, videos, stories, etc.
- Write short scripts for videos and testimonials for events and campaigns.
- Developing graphic design concepts for outreach materials
- Plan and implement monthly strategy for social media activities.
- Work on other projects or assignments as needed.
- Asist in monitoring data for communication and media monitoring report
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisor.
4. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing professional and friendly customer service and enable smooth programme implementations
- Position based in Phnom Penh but will travel to field site up to request.
5. PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not manage staff.
- Does not have authority to allocate resources or approve budget expenditures
6. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent university graduated or 3–4-year student majoring in communication, mass media or related field.
- Good command in English language—reading, writing, and speaking.
- Ability to generate design materials and videos.
- Experience in social media and photography
- Good knowledge of Adobe products
- Experience in writing blogs, features, articles would be an asset.
- Good team player and ability to adapt to change in work environment.
- Honest, hardworking, and willing to learn new things.

- Great attention to detail
- Maturity in handling confidential information
- Willing to abide by CI Code of Ethics and Policies
8. WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typical office environment. May need to work extended hours as needed.
- Frequent travel to provincial towns and remote areas
