We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position of 3D Character Animator. As an Animator at Ruang Studios, you will play a key role in our creative team. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around developing the animation needs of our children's show, as well as occasional animation needs for post-production work with our clients. The ideal candidate possesses creativity and experience in animating 2D and 3D characters, as well as creating animated sets for these characters.
Starting Salary ~ $600+ or based on experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and refine character designs and animation concepts.
- Create engaging and expressive character animations.
- Bring characters to life through fluid movement, facial expressions, and body language.
- Ensure consistency and quality throughout the animation process.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones effectively.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a character animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Blender, Maya etc.)
- Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and character performance.
- Ability to adapt to feedback and iterate on animations accordingly.
- Experience working on children's animated shows or similar projects.
- Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D animation techniques.
- Blender Experience preferred.
- Familiarity with rigging and character setup.
