Cord is looking for a Project Coordinator who will lead and support the implementation of a project on Ethical Business Practices in Cambodia. The project will be implemented in Rattanakiri, Mondulkiri, Steung Trey, Preah Vihear and Kratie provinces. It is led by Cord and implemented in partnership with local NGO partners and several sub-grantees. The position will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with occasional travel to the implementing provinces.
The role will provide programmatic and technical support to enable effective management of the project.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring implementation of the Strengthening Accountable Business Practices through Respect and Engagement (SABRE) project and coordinating partner activities. He/She is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring project activity plans, M&E, communication, visibility, steering group meetings, donor reporting, financial management. The Project is led by Cord and implemented in partnership with local NGO partners and several sub- grantees. The project is funded by the European Union.
The role will provide programmatic and technical support to enable effective management of the projects.
Project Management & Supervision
- Ensure the timely implementation of project activities by closely coordinating with local partners. Maintain effective oversight and supervision to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Collect reports from partners in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with project objectives outlined in the log frame. Verify that project outcomes are achieved, and the project's impact is well-evidenced. Ensure the quality of reporting meets established standards.
Programme Development
- Take a supporting role in developing and steering Cord’s strategy for the South- East Asia region. Identify new programming opportunities with a specific focus on Cambodia projects and programmes. Identify local partners and cultivate strong relationships with local NGOs and possible donors.
Budget Management
- Oversee budget management for the project, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately and utilized efficiently. Monitor expenditures and financial reporting to maintain fiscal accountability.
Co-Funding Support
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the project by actively seeking and securing co- funding opportunities. Working with the Regional Representative for South East Asia, collaborate with partners and donors to identify and leverage additional financial resources to enhance the project's impact and sustainability.
Knowledge Sharing and Management
- Establish and sustain systems for knowledge sharing among project partners and teams. Develop and execute knowledge management strategies to capture, document, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned. Facilitate regular learning sessions and workshops to foster a culture of knowledge exchange.
Areas of responsibility
- Project management and supervision
- Ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of SABRE Project
- Lead and supervise the implementation of activity plans with partners
- Take lead in the implementation and supervision of subgrant/sub awards implementation.
- Working with HRCDA, develop a clear action plan on capacity building activities for target groups and partners and support other capacity
- building initiatives of implementing partners.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Lead on maintaining monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to evidence the impact of the project and facilitate periodic impact review sessions.
- Quarterly gathering of qualitative and quantitative data to inform reporting on output, outcome and impact levels
- Coordinate the project reporting process with relevant staff and lead on the submission of high quality and timely quarterly reports to the RR, SEA and
- UK office.
- Conduct outcome harvesting workshops quarterly with implementing teams
Budget management
- Support the management of partner grant agreements, ensuring compliance on contract provisions
- Work with Cord’s Finance Officer to monitor partner finance reports to ensure compliance with partner agreement, partner policy and EU donor

Capacity building

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria
- Education: Degree in a relevant field such as Human Rights, International Development, Business and Human Rights and/or Peacebuilding or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project coordination, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects related to private sector engagement and/or human rights preferably in Cambodia.
- Private Sector Engagement: Clear and comprehensive understanding of issues related to private sector engagement in Cambodia, with a focus on Business and Human Rights
- Monitoring and Evaluation Demonstrated expertise in monitoring and evaluation, including the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure project progress and effectiveness.
- Donor Report Writing: Demonstrated success in writing comprehensive and effective donor reports in English, showcasing a proven ability to convey project progress, outcomes, and impact in a clear and compelling manner.
- Budget Management: Proven experience in overseeing budget management for projects, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources.
- Co-Funding Support: Track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with potential co-funding partners, with a successful history of securing additional funding for projects.
- Knowledge Sharing and Management: Experience in establishing and/or maintaining systems for knowledge sharing among project partners and teams, including facilitating learning sessions and workshops.
Language Proficiency
