Holt Children’s Services began as an adoption project in 1955 to find a new family for children who lost their parents due to the Korean war and the result of poverty. HCS has worked for various social welfare services to children, teenagers, single parents, disabled, and low-income families in the purpose to protect the impoverished children and families in the slum areas by providing education, emotional support, family protection, and health services.
1- English Teacher
The Teacher is responsible for learning and teaching that produce better learning outcome by providing a conducive learning environment, student safety and student welfare. He / She will encourage students’ participation all activities and promote students’ success with positive student attitudes, behavior, and morality. He / She provides a good collaboration with students, students’ parents.
Responsible:
- Oversee the classroom environment with positive learning environment.
- Provide Khmer and English class for primary level.
- Ensure that the students attend the school regularly and take daily attendance.
- Prepare teaching plan and set homework for students every day.
- Prepare and produce educational resources for learning and teaching.
- Ensure the teaching and learning techniques are fun, and interactive with children.
- Prepare test and examination paper to assess and evaluate student knowledge.
- Report and discuss students’ progress to director and students’ parents.
- Research additional teaching methodology, pedagogy to improve children’s learning outcome.
- Actively participate in meetings and write the meeting minute as required.
- Encourage children and family’s participation all HDC activities.
- Deliver soft skill training on attitude, behavior, morality and child protection.
- Keep all teaching documentation in safe storage both soft and hard copies.
- Communicate students, parents and colleague in a professional manner.
- Lead and conduct home visit to monitor the student’s status and family situation.
- Assist to director to operate sponsorship program. (child growth check-up, gift, letter)
- Submit monthly report to director on time.
- Other tasks will be assigned as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or Fresh graduate in education, social development, and other related fields.
- Good understanding of teaching skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Strong commitment to learn new project
- Written and spoken English
2- Teacher Assistant
This Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting and leading the teacher for classroom administration, classroom operation, and material purchasing. He / She provides friendly and helpful reception and customer service support to the students, student’s families at the center. This position is designed and report to the teachers.
Responsible:
- Assist to prepare and manage in general administration tasks in the classroom.
- Assist Adm/Fin officer and program officer to get quotations, purchasing, and receiving materials from suppliers.
- Assist and prepare the staff meeting and minute taking.
- Assist teachers to organize the training, meeting, workshop, and other events.
- Conduct a family home visit to check the student’s status and family situation.
- Assist to prepare and distribute learning material to all students and parents.
- Assist teachers to conduct Child Growth Check-up program.
- Coordinate with teachers to provide gifts and letters to sponsorship students.
- Submit a monthly report to teachers on time.
- Perform other tasks as required by supervisors.
- Bachelor’s degree or Fresh graduate in education, social development, and other related fields.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Strong commitment to learn new project
