2. SUMMARY
This position is based in the CI Phnom Penh office and responsible for maintenance CI vehicles, driving for staff, donors, and guests, drive the vehicle as carefully as possible at all times, delivery mail to relevant ministries and partner NGOs, recording vehicle log book, and provide others support as needed.
This position does not supervise staff. Work duties are performed under direct supervision.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take complete responsibility for the vehicle assigned to him/her
- Accurately maintain the daily vehicle log, including the date, mileage, quantity of fuel filled and prepare monthly vehicle report
- Provide driving services for staff, donors, guests, partners and others authorized personnel within CI policies and national traffic law.
- Drive the vehicle as carefully as possible at all times, bearing in mind his/her own safety and that of the passengers, other drivers and pedestrians and slowing down when children are seen on the road. Observe the traffic regulations at all times
- Ensure vehicle is maintained and in good running condition, including regular check-ups/ preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and compliance with the driving rules and regulations of Cambodia.
- Keep inform to Operations Unit, component manager when vehicles broken or any emergency, and perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Other tasks may include, but are not limited to:
➢ Assist in managing and ordering supplies within the office budget guidelines
➢ Assist program staff and operations team ensuring day-to-day functions are carried out
➢ Collect and deliver mails, documents and other items as requested by supervisor
➢ Assist in maintaining CI’s assets
➢ Operation support include: Photo copy, scanning and typing documents.
4. PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Does not manage staff but assists peers and may direct the work of intern, volunteers, contractors and others.
- Does not have authority to allocate resources or approve budget expenditures.
5. QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Secondary School
- A minimum of three year experiences in driving position
- Holds valid Cambodian driving license
- Ability to read the maps
- Basic knowledge of English language skills
- Hardworking, service oriented, polite and friendly
- An Understanding and appreciation for NGO or public service agency
- Good health and a willingness to travel and stay in project sites
- Computer literate
6. WORKING CONDITIONS
- Typical office environment. May need to work extended hours as needed.
- Frequent travel to provincial towns and remote areas
