Duties
Working from the United States Embassy to the Kingdom of Cambodia and based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the incumbent operates medium-sized and/or large trucks to transport, load, and unload furniture, appliances, office supplies and other miscellaneous items. S/He performs manual supply counts and site-leader duties involved in loading and unloading the vehicle driven to support the Embassy Mission and associated agencies at Post.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of chauffeur or other appropriate driving experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns. (This may be tested.)
- Education Requirements:
Completion of high school is required.
- Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) and Khmer Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) are required. (This may be tested.)
***Note: Applicants must include all languages known to include Khmer language in the application.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have and maintain type "C" driver's license (a copy of local driver's license must be provided in the application). Must be 25 years of age or older. Must be capable of performing moderately arduous work, including heavy lifting weighing up to 50 kilos (110 pounds) and handling equipment unitized. (This may be tested.)

- Current employees of the Mission who have not successfully completed their initial probationary periods are not eligible to apply. Current employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory or MBC score of less than 100 points, on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply.
- Current employees of the Mission hired a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment. This does not apply for employees on a PSA (Temp), or those are hired on a When Actually Employed (WAE) or intermittent work schedule.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
