Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap.  We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.

Special Education Teacher Assistant 

DEPARTMENT & SECTION’S MISSIONS
Department’s missions: To ensure the physical mental health of the PSE’s Children and their families in the program support by PSE.

Section’s missions: 

• To provide accommodation, care and a life of warmth, love and safe
• To provide special care by level of children with disability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main activities

• To prepare good positioning for disable children all the time
• To take care disables children (Feeding, toilette, shower, dressing…)
• To facilitate leading disable children to do activities (swimming, playing, does exercise from school…
• To facilitate cleaning bedroom and bathroom for disable children.
• To facilitate bringing children to infirmary when they are sick.
• To write reports to immediate manager every day

Processes to manage and/or control

• To control good positioning for disable children all the time
• To control hygiene for disable children all the time

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES

• Educational Background:
• High School Level

Working Experience:

• Worked with disable children at least 1 year

Language requirement:

• Can write and read in Khmer medium

Know-How (Technical competencies):

• Take care Children with disabilities
• Have some knowledge about disability
