Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap.  We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.

Business Development Specialist
Work Location:    PSE Office in Phnom Penh
Job holder reports to:    General Director
Roles reporting to job holder:    Officers

Description/purpose:
S/he will responsable to identify funding opportunities, building provide campanies and donor relationships, proposal development and building staff capacity to improve the lives of children, families and communities following the PSE Cambodia’s values and strategies.

Dimension/Scope of job
This position will manage a total of annual grant portfolio of 500K for PSE Cambodia and 60K department budget. Also, s/he responsible for supporting the mobilization of resources through closely workingl with private campanies, donor research and engagements. This position will serve as the focal point for fundraising and campaings for PSE. This will include supporting office in France, leading project design workshops, and ensure timeline submission of proposals. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Write grant proposals in close coordination with directors and office in France who in-charge in fundraising
• Research campanies, donors and identify grant opportunities locally.
• Act as PSE Cambodia representative on grant matters, representing the interests of PSE Cambodia to Office in France, donor organizations and other stakeholders.
• Develop, manage and maintain strategic partnerships with local actors, including corporate donors and external networks.
• Work with appropriate corporate partners to align their sustainable strategies with PSE Cambodia to identify win-win opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a strong and professional image of PSE Cambodia among relevant donors.

Problem Solving:

• Queries from Officer in France on funding opportunities and proposal development and reports
• Dealing with donors and corporate partnersh
• Mapping relevant opportunities with donors and corporates identities in Cambodia

Communications:

• This position will communicate to both internal and external clients to do his/her job. S/he will communicate to donors, campanies, all staff, directors of PSE and Office in France.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Education:

• Master and Bachelor degree in related marketing and/or economic development

- Knowledge:

• Excellent level of English: oral, written and spoken. French is a plus
• Negotiation skills at an advanced level.
• Conceptual and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Public relations and representation skills at an advanced level.
• High level of computer proficiency.

- Experience:

• Seven years of professional experience in fundraising and marketing position
• Demonstrated track record of writing project proposals and obtaining grant funding for development projects from privates and donors.
• Demonstrated success in directly managing the implementation and reporting requirements of grant funded projects and programs.
• Experience in identifying and developing fund raising opportunities
• Experience of working with children and communities and managing child-related program and projects would be an advantage
