Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap. We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.
English Pedagogy Coordinator (This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh)
S/he will teach to students and provide pedagogy technical support on English program to PSE center to ensure both quality of teaching materials and curriculum of English. Also, s/he will support school during the examination.

DEPARTMENT & SECTION’S MISSIONS
Department’s missions:
- Provide ESP and GEP to all schools in PSE-I
- Recruit an expert of curriculum development and local staff and volunteers to support the programs
- Control the quality of teaching of the staff and learning of the students
- Improve the system of exam (making tests and correcting them)
- Provide soft skills training to the students
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose of the job: It aims at operating both ESP and GEP programs more effectively and efficiently among the training schools in PSE-I, and help support the manager in observing teaching classes and giving feedback to the staff for daily performance and annual appraisal.
Activities and responsibilities:
Main activities
- Teach 5 hours per week
- Improve the exam system by reviewing and preparing the tests: Quizes, Mid-term and Final exam
- Check and send the result of the tests to manager
- Observe the teaching classes and give feedback to the teachers to improve the progress of
- teaching methodology
- Facilitate the weekly meeting within the team
- Develop Lab program
- Create teaching activities
- Prepare the lesson plan and share with the team
- Check the competency of each level of the program (ESP) and the level descriptor of the program
- (GEP) while reviewing the tests
- Work with the team to check the score before reporting to manager
- Prepare the schedule for observing the classes and giving feedback to teachers
- Propose the agenda and schedule for weekly meeting, and share teaching methodology with the team
- Write the minutes and send to everyone in the team
- Work closely with manager to develop the team’s competency of English by providing trainings and tests of ielts
- Participate in tests preparation by reviewing them send them to manager, make the schedule and list of students for the exam
- Research the lab program and try to find more links and websites to store in lab, and assess them.
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Education in TESOL
- 6.5 ielts band score
- Five-year experiences in teaching
- Being good at leadership and management
- Fluency in 4 macro skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing
- His/Her practical knowledge and ability are very good at computer, internet and know how to store lab program.
