Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) or For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization and founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, was established since 1995 in Cambodia. PSE’s mission is to help the most marginalised and debrided children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. PSE has six main programmes adapted to the needs of the children, those programmes include: food, health, protection, education and schooling, vocational training, and helping families. PSE employs more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children and 3000 families. We are operating in Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Ville and Siem Reap. We are looking for qualified candidates for the positions below.
Finance Assistant (This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh)
S/he will provide supports on daily operation’s expenses and administration for project to ensure all payments have correct and suffiecient supporting documents follow PSE policies and donor requirements. Also, s/he will manage the stationary for the office and other admin works.

DEPARTMENT & SECTION’S MISSIONS
Department’s missions:
To develop, design and implement the effectiveness project management cycle in order to satisfy the PSE growth, sustainable and profession.
Section’s missions:
Provide and manage the technical and management expertise in developing the project management cycle in user friendly approach of development of PSE’s projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose of the job:
- It is to help organize the office and run the daily operation’s expenses in the project
Key Responsibilities
Prepare compensation list and make the payment to the trainees
Checking the invoices from the Purchase Department.
Complete the payment voucher, attach with invoices and supporting document
Other tasks
Duties
Prepare compensation list and make the payment to the trainees
- Check daily attendance list of each training section
- Import all the data into the compensation list
- Prepare the cash and make the payment to the trainees
- Record all the revenues and expenses into the daily report
- Collect invoices from the Purchase Department relate to FLIP project
- Do the calculation and make sure all the information on each invoice is completed
- Do the translation on invoices from Khmer to English
- Call and make the payment to suppliers
- Preparing the payment voucher to comply with the right budget code and finance procedure
- Collect the supporting documents from other department related
- The finance documents must well organize and store
- Produce the daily expenditure report
- Have good communication with all relevant departments (H.R, Finance, and EE)
- Monthly stationary checking
- Assist in some necessary works delegated from manager
- Update the trainees’ cash saving
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
Educational Background:
- Completed at least diploma of Accounting, Banking, Finance or other related fields.
Working Experience:
- Minimum one year working experience related
- Khmer and English
Know-How (Technical competencies):
- Demonstrate a high capacity of accounting software and advance excel program
- Good command of English
- Strong personality of good organization, communication, confidentiality, and honesty
- Have a strong interest to work with community people
- Inter-personal communication
- Problem Solving skill
- Time management skill
- Computer literacy Ms. Word, Excel, Ms. Outlook Express, Ms. Power Point, QuickBooks
- Adapted ability
- Can work under pressure
