We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s lives, especially marginalized and disadvantaged children. Save the Children is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill the position of Nutrition Coordinator based in Battambang province.
The Purpose of the Role
The Nutrition Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of the community nutrition activities and related requirements for the USAID-funded NOURISH Project, ensuring integration with other components of the project. S/he is responsible for coordinating effective implementation, monitoring, and reporting of community nutrition activities under supervision of the Integrated Community Nutrition Technical Manager and under overall guidance from Chief of Party, work closely with Provincial Coordinators and Government partners to ensure that the workplan is implemented on schedule and that targets are achieved.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Degree in health or nutrition, community development or relevant field;
- In-depth knowledge of community nutrition and implementation in Cambodia;
- At least five years working experience including at least two years in community-based nutrition;
- Proven ability as training lead and co-facilitator;
- Proven ability to prepare plans and reports, as well as activity budgets;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality technical results;
- Demonstrated experience in teamwork, team participation and contributing to a high functioning team;
- Proven ability and commitment to learn from experiences to establish good practice and document learning;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and time-management skills while working in a diverse and dynamic team setting in a challenging environment.
- Experience working with a range of partners and stakeholders, including international and local NGOs, government agencies, community organizations, private sector actors, etc.;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for both English and Khmer languages are preferred.

SCOPE
OF ROLE:
Reports to: Integrated Community Nutrition Technical Manager
Dimensions: This role is expected to coordinate nutrition activities
for the NOURISH project. S/he will support the program implementation unit and
work with Save the Children Country Office relevant teams.
The NOURISH
project aims to improve the nutritional status of mothers
and children in Cambodia by : 1) Supporting existing community structures for
improved nutrition; 2) Increasing demand for health, WASH and agriculture
practices, services and products; 3) Engaging the private sector to improve
access to WASH and agriculture supplies; and 4) Enhancing the capacity of sub-national government and
local NGO-partners in integrated nutrition.
