We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s live especially marginalized and disadvantaged children. Save the Children is looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to fill in the position of Communications Development and Quality Volunteer based in Phnom Penh.
The Purpose of the Role
The Fundraising, Awards Management and Communications (FAMC) Department is responsible for producing a high volume of English-language materials including reports, newsletters, case studies, case stories, fact sheets, brochures and other promotional materials.
To support the production of exceptionally high quality English-language communications materials, Save the Children is seeking a Communications Development & Quality Volunteer with native or equivalent proficiency English and excellent writing and editing skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
- Native English speaker or equivalent level of English is essential.
- Creative, adaptable and flexible with strong research skills.
- Able to give creative input to the format and content of written materials.
- BA in journalism or communications would be an asset but is not mandatory.
- At least two years of experience in a related field, particularly communications, creative arts or social media management, would be an asset.
- Keen interest in working in the development sector is essential.

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months with possibility of extension

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or
young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or
intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they
work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they
are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
