Save the Children’s mission
is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to

programs focus on Education, Health, Child Rights Governance, Child
Protection and Humanitarian. We work with government partners and local
NGOs to improve children’s live especially marginalized and
disadvantaged children. Save the Children is looking for a qualified and
motivated candidate to fill in the position of Procurement Officer based in Phnom Penh.
The Purpose of the Role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the implementation of the
country office’s day to day procurement activities, making sure they are
carried out diligently, in a transparent manner, in compliance with the
country office procurement manual and with donor’s rules and
regulations.
He/she is responsible to provide regular/daily capacity building and
support to program managers, budget holders and implementing partners on
matters related to procurement policies and best practices.
He/she is also responsible to make sure that all procurement
activities are fully and accurately documented and the procurement
reports to donors are submitted on time and in the form and template
required by donors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years work experience in purchasing/procurement role
- Good knowledge of procurement guidelines of donor agencies such as Global Fund, World Bank, USAID etc.
- Fluency in English and Khmer language
- Ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision
- Trustworthy, commitment and teamwork
- Creative, honest and responsible
- Flexible and adaptable with different circumstances
- Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
