We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s live especially marginalized and disadvantaged children.
With funding support from the WB, Japan Social Development Fund, Save the Children is an implementing partner, under the Early Childhood Care and Development for Floating Villages. Save the Children is looking for high quality motivated candidates to fill in different positions in different areas across the country office.
Positions Available and Qualifications:
MEAL Consultant for ECCD Floating Village Project based in Kampong Chhnang province (1 position) – ref. ECCD_SC014
The Purpose of the Role
Save the Children implements the Early Childhood Care and Development for Floating Villages Project funded by JSDF through World Bank in 9 districts include 6 in Kampong Chhnang and 3 in Pursat provinces.
The main purpose to this position is to ensure the MEAL approach and system that clearly spell out in M&E Operational manual that Save the Children has agreed with donor –JSDF through World Bank which is fully and effectively implementation with timely and quality of M&E works. He/she will work with staffs and partners to develop and implementation the M&E plan to ensure the staffs and partners understand all tools for data and information requirement, data collection with timely and quality, data checking and verification, data entry, data consolidate and reporting.
He/She will support project staffs and partners to complete the data and information requirement from Save the Children International including Total Reach, Global Indicators.
He/She will help to build the capacity of programme staffs and partners in MEAL and create learning agenda.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Social Sciences or computer sciences, IT
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experiences in M&E including tool development, data collection, and data management.
- Knowledge of database software and operations, preferably advance Excel, Epi-data, Map-information, SPSS and Access.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bright, analytical, independent and reliable person
- Excellent English and Khmer language
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, and solve problems independently.
- Ability to identify and solve issues relating to data entry.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or
young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively
(e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in
country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they
are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process
staff.
