Success and failure of a company depends very much on its CEO (Chief Executive Officer) who is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Company’s long term strategy with a view to creating shareholder value. The CEO’s leadership role also entails being ultimately responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the Company’s long and short term plans. CEO acts as a direct liaison between the Board and management of the Company and communicates to the Board on behalf of management. CEO also communicates on behalf of the Company to shareholders, employees, Government authorities, other stakeholders and the public. However, CEO needs to have strong support from HR because without HR, proper management and best practices, even excellent business plans and ideas will fail. Thus, HR role in a company is indispensable for its present and future survival and success.
Sometimes, even CEO is supported by good HR executives, CEO and HR may not work well together because they both work by their own personality and perception or they both may misunderstand each other. To make CEO and HR deeply go together or understand each other, we introduce “HR-CEO Straight Talks” for CEO and HR. “HR-CEO Straight Talks” will be organized by Human Recourse Association of Cambodia (HRAC) on 28 August, 2016.

- Providing an opportunity for participants who are CEOs and HRs to gain more knowledge, experiences and insights into HR/CEO’s challenges.
- Find all possible keys to mutual understanding and closer collaboration between the TWO main functions—CEO & HR in any institution.
- Building connection and network between the CEOs and HRs from various institutions.
