JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Medical Officer (1 full time position)
Location: NAMRU2 - Phnom Penh
Job Requirement
- Applicants must have a Medical Degree or equivalent with two years of documented experience working with infectious diseases
- Must read and write in Khmer and English Level III
- Knowledge of word processing, power point and other tool for making presentations, and spreadsheets required
- Communicates with contracted study personnel to ensure proper execution of – PP studies.
- Trains field site personnel to obtain informed consents, conduct clinical evaluations, and obtain specimens.
- Supervises contracted field site personnel to ensure adherence to informed consent and study specific procedures and routinely reports back to Field Supervisor and Senior Medical Officer on work performance.
- Participates in outbreak investigations including study design, supply preparation, questionnaire development, and specimen and data collection and processing.
- Travel may require overnight stays for one or several nights in rural locations.
- Works with statistician to conduct data analysis and prepare presentation of results.
