Position:                                 Technical Officer for Health and Nutrition

Location:                                Phnom Penh

Salary & Benefit Package:    688USD-860USD per month dependent on your experience & qualifications

I. THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide technical support to Area Development Programs (ADPs) within the province (Operations) on the design, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of Health sector Project(s) and ADP health interventions, with guidance support and technical advice from the Technical Team at National Office.  In collaboration with Operations Monitoring Officer (OMO), and the Operations Technical Officer for Health (OTOH) ensure integrity and quality during implementation, and that the projects are fully aligned with the Nutrition component of the National Strategy of WV Cambodia (WVC) and the Child Well Being targets.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Providing high quality technical support to ADPs in Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN)
2. Building capacity and knowledge of health Project Coordinators (PCs) and health staff in the ADPs
3. Ensuring high quality in programme performance
4. Addressing bottle necks during implementation
5. Promoting learning and good practices and developing sectoral standards relevant to the assigned projects
6. Regular monitoring by PCs and Transformational Development Facilitators (TDFs)
7. Building strong networks with Provincial Health Departments, Operations Districts, Sectoral working groups and other NGOs working in MCHN
8. Represent WVC, at the required sector meetings

III. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Degree in Nursing, Midwifery or Medical Doctor
2. Technical knowledge in maternal, child health and nutrition
3. Effective communication and facilitation skills
4. Skills in project management and implementation
5. Experience in data collection and project design
6. Experience in advocacy and networking
7. Fully able to embrace organizational values and possess a high level of commitment towards the mission of WVC.
