Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE)  is a non-profit organization, established in Cambodia in 1995, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education. PSE has more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap. PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill 01 positions of Social Officer (Full-Time) based in Phnom Penh.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow up and visit the existing families in the communities to access their living standard improvements;
• Search, observe, select and propose the children or families into the program based on the PSE’s criteria;
• Cooperate with related departments to follow up student absences and dropouts;
• Solve the problems of children and families;
• Assist in organizing the community development training program;
• Promote and connect with related local authorities and other partners;
• Keep on updating the database;
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Sociology, Psychology, Community Development or other related fields;
• Minimum one year experience in social work or community facilitation;
• Good command of English; French is an advantage;
• Strong capacity of communication with community and local authorities;
• Independent, initiative and persistent;
• Dynamic and team player;
• Computer literate;
• Respect and support PSE’s values and mission;
