Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE)  is a non-profit organization, established in Cambodia in 1995, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education. PSE has more than 600 employees and provides help to more than 6,500 children in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap. PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill 01 positions of English Instructor (Full-Time) based in Phnom Penh.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver English course to students of PSE School of Hospitality and Tourism in accordance with the school curriculum.;
• Create, modify, update and maintain textbooks, handouts, assessment tests, and exams for the course;
• Manage effective records of the attendance and progress of classes and individual students;
• Advise, counsel and tutor students in order to improve their English proficiency and change their attitudes and behaviors for the better;
• Join class council to assess students in terms of study progress, discipline, behavior, character, morality, etc. and take appropriate actions accordingly;
• Create, use and maintain teaching resources and materials effectively and efficiently;
• Support and participate actively in school events and activities;
• Write a work progress report for manager;
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in English or other related fields;
• At least two years teaching experience;
• Good command of English both spoken and written (minimum TOEFL 500, IELTS 5.0 or 50% on PSE English Proficiency Test);
• Ability to use student-centered and communicative teaching approaches;
• Ability to interact well with teenagers and young adults;
• Patient, dynamic, pleasant and team player;
• Computer literate;
• Respect and support PSE’s values and mission.
