Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap. Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc. PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill various positions of:Food and Beverage Services Instructor Assistant
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist to design, develop and deliver food and beverage service training courses to students of PSE School of Hospitality and Tourism in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Take part in orientating and selecting students for food and beverage service class in accordance with school requirements.
- Support and participate actively in school events and activities.
- Assist to control PSE Lotus Blanc Restaurant’s operations, observe and evaluate student performance during practice and building good relations with guests.
- Plan and assign rotation schedule for students to practice in the restaurant and observe and improve their work performance and attitude during practice.
- Control, organize and supervise student activities before, during and after operations to ensure that students get familiar with standard of operation and food safety.
- Produce weekly and monthly report and perform other duties assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Food & Beverage Service, Business Administration or other related field.
- 2 years of progressive work experience specifically in food and beverage service in standard hotel or restaurant
- Good command of both spoken and written English; French is a plus
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Dynamic and well-groomed
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong willingness to work with and for vulnerable children
- IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet & E-mail)
