Business Facilitator
Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap.
Currently PSE is providing help to more than 6,500 children, supporting around 3,000 children in public schools, 1,500 in the remedial education program, and 1,500 in the vocational training program. Around 500 children benefit from specific educational programs: classes for children with disability, day-care centers, infant welfare, etc.
PSE employs more than 600 dedicated staff. Due to rapid growth of existing and new programs, PSE is seeking competitive and capable candidates to fill various positions of Business Facilitator (01 post) based in Phnom Penh.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct research and identify the need of skills for the families in SMILE Village.
- Facilitate the training of livelihood to the community based on the skills needed by the people.
- Set up business in the community enterprise for SMILE Village’s families.
- Coordinate the operations of community enterprise and train the families how to manage the operations of their community enterprise so that they have the ability to manage their own business effectively.
- Ensure that all the families in SMILE Village gain proper skills and jobs and/or sustainable business.
- Create an effective social enterprise system for the community and transfer it to the next generation.
- Find and create partnerships with potential people and companies for the job placements and business opportunities for the families.
- Control all the profits and expenses of the community enterprise.
- Write a work progress report for manager.
Job Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in social business/enterprise, entrepreneurship or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in business creation/development. Experience in social business is preferable.
- Ability to empower others and build a strong management and organizational structure.
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills
- Research skill
- Dynamic, flexible and result-oriented
- Strong motivation and willingness to work with and for poor community
- Good command of English and Khmer in both speaking and writing. French is a plus.
- Computer literate
- Car driving license
- Respect and support PSE’s values and mission
