Conflict within the workplace can impact on productivity and staff morale. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential within today’s diverse workforce. Resolution of conflict is essential. Identifying and dealing effectively with difficult people and situations involves positive communication, active listening and problem solving skills.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this two-day training, participants are expected to: understand causes of conflict, choose appropriate responses and actions to resolve conflict situations, facilitate resolution of conflict between others and respond to threatening, aggressive, accusatory or emotional behaviors.

TRAINER PROFILE
Mr. Phann Sopheara has 10-year experience of training in a management position, where he has to responsible for various functions that meet the selection criteria including consulting, coaching, recruitment, training, staff compensation and benefit, and labor office relation at Sofitel, Raffles & Naga World. Sopheara has also worked to create the Training Policy and Procedure (P&P) and revise the internal rules for Group Human Resources Department. He has also worked to put together annual training plans and various programs to address to staff members’ concerns as far as possible. In addition to this, he has communicated the new performance management system to staff at executive and supervisor level. Sopheara has also worked to ensure that HR practices in the various departments are in compliance with Corporate HR guidelines and Cambodian Labor Law. He has managed and coordinated the training courses and workshops for all staff. On top of that, he did engage external trainers or merely obtain their professionals’ opinions and tips so that he could keep up with developments in training styles, techniques and resources to ensure appropriate and effective delivery.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This essential training is aimed at management of conflict in the workplace is probably one of the biggest challenges that we face in today's working environment. Therefore, we need to understand that conflict is a normal part of life, it is beneficial and it is inevitable. It is how we actually manage it that is the difficult part.
