CIDO is a Cambodian Local NGO established in March 2006 by Cambodian senior staff of Dutch NGO called ZOA. CIDO is one of the active members of the steering committee of DANGO Network of Otdar Meanchey province that is operating its various projects in Otdar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces focuses on Social Business, Food Security and Nutrition, WASH, and Climate Change & Disaster Risk Reduction.
Since 2011 Investing in Children and their Society (ICS) funded by the Royal Dutch Government has supported the Community-based Integrated Development Organization (CIDO) on a project entitles “Value Adding Rice and Increase the Incomes of Small Farmers through Diversified Crop Production – VALUABLE Crop”. The project aimed to organize farmers for the production of organic and diversified vegetables in order to improve food and income security for the people In Otdar Meanchey province, through agricultural chain strengthening and a social business approach.
A new project is developed for scaling up the current project as mentioned above from March 2014 till end 2015 aims to set up a viable social business (Vegics Ltd) by growing GAP vegetables in Otdar Meanchey and selling it to premium customers in Otdar Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces. CIDO is currently seeking for one qualified candidate (01) to fulfill the position of Project Officer for Organic Vegetable Production Project (Vegics Ltd).

1. Requirements
- Bachelor degree in agronomy, agribusiness, social enterprise or related fields
- At least 3 years working experience with NGOs in agriculture, agribusiness, organic vegetable, agricultural chemical free or soil improvement projects
- Knowledge in social business and social enterprise
- Experience in agricultural chemical free and natural fertilizer, soil improvement and GAP (Good Agriculture Practice)
- Experience in project management, project monitoring and evaluation
- Good command of computer programs (Ms. Word & Excel, Internet and E-mail)
- Good command of English both writing and speaking
- Good command of reporting writing and public communication
2. Duties and responsibilities

- Responsible for managing the whole project and ensure the success of the project’s goal and objectives
- Supervise and build teamwork with other two staffs - the production officer & marketing officer
- Work/collaborate with government partner staff from Provincial Department of Agriculture
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly work plans for the project and ensure the success of the work plans
- Submit annual quarterly and monthly report to Executive Director
- Conduct project follow-up and monitoring
2.2 Technical support to farmers on vegetable production
- Organize training events on organic vegetable production and other exchange visits to farmers
- Ensure that all training contents and training activities are very well conducted in accordance with the GAP (Good Agriculture Practice) standards
- Ensure that farmers have enough knowledge and have practiced the GAP standards at every farm, which will lead to successfully organic certification in the future
- Conduct filed monitoring, provide technical advice to farmers and work closely with them at their farm-gates
2.3 Vegetable supply chain
- Organize farmers into producer groups and strengthen their groups
- Assist farmers in product planning based on planting calendar & demand calendar
- Work closely in cooperation with vegetable entrepreneurs in supplying vegetable to customers
- Arrange the 'supply-side', including some logistics to a 'local drop-off point' for farmers where entrepreneurs can collect and transport vegetables to market
- Facilitate and ensure the match of production side and supply side
