The Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His
Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain,
believes that now is the best time to invest in youth for what the world
obtains of characteristics and scientific components and technology
that push young people to spread their creations and introduce
themselves as active models in their countries who could be relied upon
to raise goodness and development in the world. Notably that the youth
of the world are of nearly 2 billion persons, which is equivalent to
one-third of the world's population.
The youth of the world today strive to empower themselves in all respects and look forward to take a real position in the development process taking place in various countries of the world. Youths are also well aware that their actual participation in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is the best way to build a new world.
The Kingdom of Bahrain offers a set of pioneering initiatives in the field of youth empowerment and skills development stemming from the Kingdom’s great faith in youths as they are the engine and the main motive of the developmental process, and that they are the mean and purpose of development. Thus, we must continue to invest in young people through training and providing them with skills and experience, so that the world youth remains on a high level of creativity and excellence.
The Youth Empowerment award comes as an initiative from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the first award of its kind that will be open to all Member States. This initiative aims to empower young people and give them the attention, encouragement and motivation needed. The initiative also aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals that aim to provide the best for young people's future and through this award; all nominees will have achieved SDG targets.
This prestigious award including all that it will stand for and its goals, will get all sectors of the community involved and bring us a step forward in not only raising awareness for the importance of the youth but take us a step forward to achieving many goals that will help us create a better future.
