Who Should Apply?
You are a great candidate if you:
- Are a self-identified First Nations, Métis, or Inuit woman who is passionate and actively working to make positive social change in your community or organization.
- Have a high school diploma or undergraduate degree in combination with sound oral and written abilities.
- Have three to five years of lived experience in leading (formally or informally) in a community or organizational settings.
- Have limited exposure to leadership training or other educational opportunities.
- Are committed to being accountable to the course and your peers throughout.
- Are committed to applying your learning in your community or organization after the course.
- Are willing to be an active member of Coady’s Indigenous graduate networks.
Coady Institute strives to ensure change leaders working in communities around the world have access to its courses. All successful candidates for this course receive a full bursary of $850, made possible by the support of Coady’s Circle of Abundance as well as individual and institutional donors.
Feminist Leadership For Justice, Equity and Ecology:

Who Should Apply?
This course is open to women of all ages and backgrounds who are able to demonstrate the ways they are currently engaged in local development in their respective countries. The strength of this course is in the diversity of people across all gender identities. The rainbow coalition of ages, nationalities, family responsibilities, education, religions, orientation, ethnicities, and working lives creates a dynamic context for learning. Women who are leaders and those who aspire to ignite their leadership potential are welcome.
Fees:
Tuition Fees for the course are $1,500. Coady Institute strives to ensure that participants working with marginalized communities around the world have access to its courses. This is made possible through the provision of bursaries that are funded by many individual and institutional donors of the International Centre for Women’s Leadership. Partial bursaries of $1,100 are available for international candidates. Those receiving a bursary will be responsible for paying the balance of $400 CAD before the designated deadline. Full bursaries are available for First Nations, Métis and Inuit women residing in Canada as well as women from African Nova Scotian communities.

Who should take this course?
This course is designed for anyone who is interested in work and workers including, government staff at the local, provincial and national levels who have responsibilities regarding labour, employment, skills, entrepreneurship, or women and gender; employment services providers; labour unions and workers’ organizations; and private sector, community-based organizations, NGOs and academic institutions, and think tanks.
Fees
The fee is $2,000. Partial bursaries of $1,400 are available for international candidates.
