ARCHMAT is a 2-years EMJMD course (120 ECTS) within a consortium of 3 Programme Country degree-awarding HEIs.
Aims is to provide students with specialized skills in archaeology and analytical characterization of materials from prehistory(Megalithic) to classical times (Greek and Roman). The study and conservation of Cultural Heritage materials is a research area with a strong multidisciplinary connotation and requires skills that span across the Humanities and Science research fields.
Classes will be delivered at UEVORA (coordinator), AUTH and UNIROMA1. Associated members from HEIs will provide seminars/practical and field classes on Archaeometry specialised aspects/techniques and case studies and offer internships, joint supervision and topics for Thesis projects. Non HEI Museum Associated partners will provide archaeomaterials for Thesis Projects, host internships and Museum exhibitions on main Thesis Projects results (MEH, MUCIV, MAE-USP, CAL, IMJ)
SCHOLARSHIPS ELIGIBILITY:
A limited number of EU funded individual scholarships are available to admitted ARCHMAT applicants Programme and Partner Country according to the ARCHMAT ranking lists produced at the end of the selection procedure.
The following general ERASMUS MUNDUS Programme scholarship eligibility rules apply:
• Only candidates who have applied to and have been accepted by an EMJMD consortium in accordance with its specific student's application and selection criteria, are eligible for a scholarship
• Students can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to the Erasmus Mundus joint Master Course(EMJMD) of their choice but the number of applications must be limited to maximum three different joint programmes
• Each project may give rise to the award of only one EU grant to any student for the same joint course over the length of the course concerned
Individuals who have already benefited from an EMJMD scholarship are not eligible for a second scholarship in order to follow the same or another EMJMD
Students benefiting from an EMJMD scholarship cannot benefit from another EU grant while pursuing their Erasmus Mundus masters studies.
The contribution to the travel and installation costs takes into account the residence of the scholarship holder.
The amounts of travel and installation costs indicated in the scholarship application form reflect the maximum amount the Agency could grant to scholarship holders residents in a Partner Country or in a Programme country. The final maximum grant the Agency will pay for these costs will depend on the residence of selected scholarship holders who will finally follow the programme.
