EUSMAT is the European School of Materials. EUSMAT was founded in 2006 and is located on the Campus of Saarland University in Germany at the Materials Science Department. But what do we do?
We:
- Coordinate international study programmes, internships, conferences and exchanges.
- Create a worldwide network of partnerships with universities, industry and institutions.
- Offer international education and research in the field of Materials Science.
- Support students’ and researchers’ mobility with different types of scholarships and contributions.
Erasmus+ Erasmus Mundus Scholarships:
Depending on your nationality and/or the time you have lived in the EU, you will be seen as a Partner Country Student or as a Programme Country Student:
- If you have an European Nationality or come from Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, you are considered a Programme Country Student.
- If you have have lived in the EU for more than 12 months by the time of the application, you will be considered a Programme Country Student.
- If you come from a Non-European Country and you have never lived in the EU for more than 12 months, you will be considered a Partner Country Student.
- The travel costs you receive depend on the country you live in, not on your nationality or if you are a Partner or Programme Country Student.
Scholarships for Partner Country Students (Non-EU):
- Either an amount of 2.000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is one of the programme countries of Erasmus+.
- Either an amount of 4000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is situated less than 4.000 km from the coordinating university (Saarbrücken, Germany).
- Or an amount of 6000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is situated 4.000 km or more from the coordinating university (Saarbrücken, Germany).
**During the regular study period of 2 years, the participation costs of 4.500€ per semester are covered by the ERASMUS+ scholarship and will be directly transferred to the coordinators. The students have to cover the participation costs for all additional semesters themselves.
Scholarships for Programme Country Students (EU-students):
- Either an amount of 2.000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is one of the programme countries of Erasmus+.
- Either an amount of 4000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is situated less than 4.000 km from the coordinating university (Saarbrücken, Germany).
- Or an amount of 6000 EUR is paid in two annual rates for scholarship holders whose location is situated 4.000 km or more from the coordinating university (Saarbrücken, Germany).
*The participation costs of 1.500 EUR per semester are covered by the Erasmus+ scholarship for the regular study period of 2 years and will be directly transferred to the coordinators. Students have to cover the participation costs for all additional semesters themselves.
