This seminar will give you the crucial foundational skills to shift from being an individual contributor to become critical and strategic thinkers and leading manager in successfully leading a program or complex project as well as a well-respected project manager who can achieve team success. This interactive course helps existing and new project managers, or those with some experience, who want to further develop skills, learn and practice project design and proposal writing skills.

Training Methodology
Pre- and post-training evaluation: it is used to assess the changes of trainees’ skills, knowledge and attitude before and the end of seminar.
Presentation: The trainer will present the subjects whilst participants actively listen, and take notes. Participants will be encouraged to express their comments by asking questions and providing answers from their personal experience.
Group/panel discussion: Participants are assigned to work in small groups through brainstorming, discussion, outlining, selecting and analyzing ideas, which allow participants to contribute their comments and experiences to the whole group. This enables participants to respond and react to each other’s contributions, and allows individuals and groups to engage with and discuss their comments with the class as a whole.
Role Play: Participants will have the opportunity to improve their skills, attitudes, and perceptions in real situations through role-play. Participants are encouraged to be creative, flexible and to act out actual conditions, which will enable participants to express their personal experiences of customer-service situations.
Activities: In order to make the training more active and to facilitate a friendly environment, participants will be introduced to a variety of activities that are designed to entertain, stimulate interest and maintain alertness, as well as fostering the recall of information and skills.
Case Studies: In order to assist participants to visualize what they have learnt into actual practice, many case studies will be introduced. Participants will have to work as a team to reflect their understanding.
Question and Answer: It encourages participants to discover their confusing and/or unclear part of the subjects and ask question to clarify, whilst all participants can actively listen and absorb at the same time.
Trainer’s Credentials
Mr. Oum Sony has a Master Degree of Science (MSc.) in the field of Biodiversity Conservation from the Royal University of Phnom Penh with distinction thesis. Sony also holds a Bachelor Degree (BBA) in General Management from National Institute of Management. He presently works for a leading international NGO as EU funded Project Manager. He has over 13-year professional experiences. Of which, his 7-year experience was in Administration and Finance Management, the 6-year in Practical Project Management, Proposal Writing and Fundraising, Project Monitoring and Evaluation. He has been training and lecturing at Cambodian institutes and universities. He also works as a freelancer (consultant) for project evaluation. In addition, he attended many international training programs and conferences in China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and United Kingdom.
