+ Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships:
Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships (RRES) provide up to $18,000 to students undertaking study at the Certificate IV to PhD level. A further $500 is available for students who undertake a relevant internship.
Students may be studying on campus or online from six months full-time up to eight years part-time.
Eligibility Criteria
RRES is available to students who:
- meet Australian citizenship or residency requirements
- are commencing a new course of study in the same year as the relevant scholarship round
- can provide evidence of financial need
- have a permanent home address in a regional or remote area, as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) 2016.

Destination Australia funds eligible tertiary education providers to offer scholarships to domestic and international students to study and live in regional Australia.
The Program
Destination Australia funds eligible tertiary education providers to offer scholarships to domestic and international students to study and live in regional Australia.
The Destination Australia Program:
- Supports regional and remote Australian tertiary education providers by promoting activities that contribute to growth and sustainability
- Offers students from Australia and overseas the opportunity to undertake high quality education, training and research, and to experience life in regional and remote Australia
- Ensures regions share in the social, cultural and economic benefits that international students bring.
The Destination Australia Program was first announced as part of the Australian Government’s Planning for Australia's Future Population on 20 March 2019.
Scholarship funding of $15,000 per year for approximately 380 students is available for Round 3 of the program for domestic and international students commencing their study in 2022. A list of successful providers for 2022 is available.
